The freebie still is a great way to get someone to sign up for your email list. Just be sure your freebie is useful, valuable, and of the same quality as the services and products you sell to your audience. Wondering what to offer to your email subscribers? Here are seven ideas:
eBooks – eBooks are a great gift to give away, especially if you offer one that you normally sell. This demonstrates a perceived value to your potential subscriber. If your free eBook is sold elsewhere on your website, the potential subscriber will have an incentive to register for your email list and get the eBook for free
Reports – A report is just a short eBook that is focused on solving one problem, instead of an overall “how to” like a book would be. For example, if your company’s niche is vegetarianism, your freebie could be a pantry checklist, a conversion chart, or a substitution chart.
Coupons – People love getting discount coupons. So consider offering your visitors a coupon code for signing up for your email list. Don’t discount your work too much, though, because that devalues what you do.
Videos – Offering a video lesson or videos of a live event is a great way to repurpose videos that you’ve already made. Just load them up to deliver to the people who sign up for your list.
Bundles – If you want to offer a really outstanding freebie, put together a compilation of all of the above items. It’s a great way to give potential subscribers a sampling of what you do well.
Getting people to subscribe to your email list is an important part of making your business succeed. The money is still in the email list, no matter which other marketing channels you use for your business.
